[ i’m starting to see, maybe it’s got nothing to do with me ]

Sometimes I think I should keep a list of the things I love about my job, so that I’m less tempted to grumble when it’s challenging. I can wear whatever I want to work, I don’t have to commute, I don’t have any living expenses, and then there’s all these little moments that come up in everyday life with these kids that are just priceless. Who can be grumpy with four year olds around?

I asked Ehren to find the remote control so they could watch the Backyardigans before school. He did and I said “thank you!” and blew him a kiss. He gave me this funny look and said, “What are you doing?” I replied, “Blowing you a kiss.” He took the expression literally and attempted to return the sentiment on my hand.

Later, I noticed he had a stray eyelash on his cheek. I got it, held it on my finger in front of him, and said “make a wish!”
So he did.
And I said “now blow!”
So he did… with his nose.

Four really is the best age. Though I’m growing quite fond of Anna as well. She’s such a stinker. Those sweet kids with a bit of a mischevious streak are my favorite.
