If I do say so myself, I’ve been remarkably tolerant of this whole winter thing thus far. Of course, having a job where you don’t actually have to leave to house if you don’t want to is helpful. But last night when I walked outside and realized my spring rain was freezing, I had to try very hard not to cry. This morning, the heavy white flakes swirling around outside felt like a death sentence. Someone strike up the dirge.
Of course, I know it’s only temporary. This too shall pass. The days of sunglasses, ballerina flats, flip flops, free movies in the park, and sun dresses without jeggings and boots are not so very far off.
