I’ve decided to establish a new tradition on this blog. Every Wednesday, I’m going to check-in (or weigh-in, you could say) and let you all know how I’m progressing on my journey to better health and happiness. My official weigh-in/meeting day is Tuesday, so it gives me a chance to think about the meeting topic and also reflect on what happened in the last week that did or didn’t work for me. I’m also going to share what the numbers on the scale are doing. I’m hoping this will also help me stay on track and hold myself accountable. As well as giving me a chance to share victories and struggles.
So. Without further adieu…
The Numbers: Coming off a streak of losing at least a pound a week, I have to say I’m less than thrilled with this week’s loss. Still, even a loss of 0.4 lbs is progress. Especially since, right now, most of my spare time is dominated by working on wedding photos.
Non-Scale Victories: Three times last week, I went at least 2,000 steps over my goal. On my best day, I was actually 5,000 over. I also did my first real 5K. It was non-competitive and we just walked the whole time and had to stop frequently to let my busy little boy play along the way – but I did it.
This Week’s Goal: Track. Every. Day. No exceptions.
This Month’s Goal: One yoga class per week. (0/5)
