After last month’s little speed bump, it felt good to have a win this week. Especially since this was another crazy week where I felt like I gave up a few times. In fact, I didn’t track anything for like four days. I tried to keep track in my head sort of, but honestly, I’ve been doing this diet thing for 9 months. And I’m just over it. Quitting? Nope. But I feel like I need to be honest with myself. The honeymoon is over. I’m sick of tracking and measuring. I’m sick of thinking about how many effing points things are going to cost me. I’m sick of bargaining with myself for french fries! And with everything going on right now, tracking just got to be a little bit much. So I ate when I was hungry and I tried to keep the portions reasonable and I stayed active and I just did what I had to do.
Do I think this method will always work for me? Nope. If I’ve learned anything, I’ve learned that I’m not that self-controlled when it comes to food. And lest I be tempted to doubt… here’s an updated progress photo.
This. thing. WORKS! I’m not stopping. I’m back to tracking starting right now.
In other news – we adopted the sweetest, most beautiful dog in the whole world. Her name is Sasha. She’s a Siberian Husky. We love her to pieces. I especially love how walking her 1-2x a day is bringing my daily step count up! I’m also training her to heel which basically means I’m that much to having Michelle Obama arms. ;)
The Numbers: Down! Woooot!
Non-Scale Victories: Ummm even though I wasn’t tracking, I didn’t go super off the rails? Oh! And I had an 18k step day on Sunday. Those are always awesome. And that progress photo is a pretty big one in my book too!
This Week’s Goal: Track all the things!
